HeartMR for eExams

The project consisted into building HeartMR to be run in a laptop computer using virtualization of an Android device. In this case, the camera used to recognize the 3D marker is the one from the laptop, and the results are stored in a local file among other results from the overall testing platform.

The Challenge

This project required the integration of an existing Android App to a Linux secure environment for eExams.

The Solution

Configuring a Andriod virtual machine which could be run inside Oracle’s VirtualBox, which in turn was hosted in a secure Linux version for eExams. The results were sent to the host Linux system using a local IP address as JSON in a POST request.

The Results

A new version of the HeartMR app which runs inside the secure Linux eExams platform, and makes the individual test results available to be attached to the general eExam results for each student.
